Hoyer is seeking a Strategic Purchaser for Hoyer Transmissions with technical and commercial insight. The Strategic Purchaser is a newly established position and it will contain both strategic, tactical and operational responsibility.
Global role with influence and possibility to develop
As Strategic Purchaser at Hoyer Transmissions you will be responsible for handling the Transmission category at Hoyer. This includes supplier search, negotiation of prices and terms, maintaining and development of supplier relations and management of selected indirect categories. You will be working closely together with your purchase colleagues in China and Denmark, our global technical and quality functions and our sales department in Denmark.
Your main tasks are:
- Supplier search in Asia and Europe
- Optimise the existing supplier and cost base in China and Europe
- Negotiation of prices and terms on standard component and customer project
- Contract and operational responsible for selected indirect categories
- Ad-hoc tasks within the purchase function.
Purchase experience, strong negotiation skills and technical knowledge
The ideal candidate has documented purchase experience, negotiation skills and project management experience. You have a technical insight combined with commercial skills. We expect you to have at least 3-5 years of experience from a similar position. Excel is your go-to tool and you must be at a high business level.
You are a self-driven person with a can-do attitude. With your outgoing personality you are able to establish close relations with suppliers and colleagues. Furthermore, you are result oriented, structured and a team player. You are ambitious and ready to take an independent responsibility.
The position will take you traveling 40 days a year in Asia and Europe.
As Strategic Purchaser you will be working out of Denmark and report to the Global Supply Chain Manager but also working closely with the Business Unit Director Peder Mørch at Hoyer Transmissions. You will be a part of our global supply chain functions which handle strategic and operational purchase at Hoyer. We have two purchase offices located respectively in Denmark and China.
